Type of Stay-Form Application:
In order to create a concrete jacket around the ten existing piers, the Project Manager, Gustavo Pradilla, for Trevcon Construction, Inc. chose Stay-Form as the most advantageous form compared to alternative forming products (plywood or modular forms). The divers like the fact that the Tremie concrete (11” slump) displaced the water in the form and also the fact that they could visually inspect the concrete pour. The concrete mix design incorporated an anti-washout admixture.
